Originally released on portable devices in 2012, Revelations got a proper full release on home consoles in 2013.
In a weird way, I quite enjoy being proven wrong about games. Capcom are responsible for over half of my personal top 50 games of all time, and this includes most Resident Evil games. However, none of Capcom’s games released after 2005 feature in my list. That isn’t to say EVERYTHING Capcom released since 2005 is crap, but a lot of it is. With specific regards to the Resident Evil series I won’t mince my words, Resident Evil 5 was crap, and Resident Evil 6 was an incoherent bag of wank, so jumping into a semi spin-off set between 5 and 6 I was not exactly expecting much.
This is the ORIGINAL release of a Game that not only spawned (to date) over 20 sequels, but currently has 3 remakes.
So, for a game to get 4 remakes, it must either be one of the best games ever, or a deeply flawed gem in need of a polish.

To be honest, I am not very sure why I am reviewing this. I was on holiday, I only had my Wii, had finished Resident Evil 4, and I needed a game to play.
I wasn’t expecting much and I was STILL disappointing.
And here we are, Resident Evil 1 remake, also known as Resident Evil: Remake (REmake), or Resident Evil: Rebirth (REBirth) (I will refer to this game as REBirth).
On our poll on Facebook/Twitter and the Blog this is the game that is coming top in our viewers eyes, so is it as good as everyone says? Could this be the best Resident Evil game? Or has it been George Lucas’d? Continue reading
