I am not sure how to do this one. Resident Evil 4 is a great game, but is it really a Resident Evil game? For the uninitiated, there is no Umbrella, there are no Zombies, there are no Tyrants, no door opening sequences, no lighter or lockpick puzzle, no crates to push, no chests to store equipment, no survival horror, and no shortage of ammo.
What we do have is, some ludicrous plot about terrorists, a kidnapped President’s daughter, a man who may or may not be a flasher (creepy shop man), some angry Spanish villagers, and something about Las Plagas. Continue reading
To be honest, I am not very sure why I am reviewing this. I was on holiday, I only had my Wii, had finished Resident Evil 4, and I needed a game to play.
I wasn’t expecting much and I was STILL disappointing.
Firstly, for clarity… This is a slightly revised version for the Gamecube of Code: Veronica, it featured slightly better graphics, and about 9 minutes of extra cut scenes. The original version of Code: Veronica was release in 2001 for the Dreamcast and PlayStation2, but for the purposes of the review I am referring to the Gamecube version (Code: Veronica X).
And here we are, Resident Evil 1 remake, also known as Resident Evil: Remake (REmake), or Resident Evil: Rebirth (REBirth) (I will refer to this game as REBirth).
